Professor Gerald Steinacher, through research in newly opened archives and recently released papers, outlines how so many notorious Nazi’s escaped Europe. These include infamous names like Eichmann, Mengele, Stangl, and Barbie as well as hundreds of others not widely known.

Steinacher examines the role of the Vatican, the US Government, and others in facilitating the escape of these men. Most were never brought to justice.
