Clive Savacool is a retired #fire #chief and lifelong #paramedic who served for more than two decades in the fire service. He began his career with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District in 1996 and promoted through the ranks from #firefighter / Paramedic to Battalion Chief. He also served as the #union Vice #president and as the County’s Training Chief. As Fire Chief at South Lake #tahoe Fire Rescue, he is credited with securing permanent funding to keep the city’s fire stations open, laying the groundwork for GPS-based dispatching, vaccinating 20 percent of the population against COVID-19, and leading the city’s 24,000 residents through the 2021 Caldor Fire 3.

After retiring from the fire service, Savacool became a successful entrepreneur. He founded LogRx, a narcotics tracking software company that allows EMS providers to easily and effectively record and track controlled substances. The company has since become internationally used and recognized as a resource not only for EMS providers but also for veterinarians, ski patrol teams, and wilderness paramedicine.
