Rabbi Nissen Mangel is a renowned scholar, author and speaker, and the youngest child inmate of the notorious Nazi Auschwitz and four other concentration camps. He evaded the notorious “selection” and survived three encounters with the infamous Dr Mengele, the man known as the Angel of Death.

Rabbi Mangel worked for many years as a translator for Keheot Publication Society; among his most notable translations are the Tehillat Hashem prayer book and the Tanya, the seminal work of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. Now he serves as rabbi of congregation Ksav Sofer in Brooklyn, NY.
