Real old-time magic returns when a sixteen-year-old girl is taught one of the few ancient skills remaining to her family clan: how to traverse ancestral memories. Unfortunately, the ancient feud between the clans still exists, and with their new-found powers, war breaks out that threatens all of humanity.

Magic has been lost for centuries, and when 16-year-old Destiny stumbles upon it, she accidentally unlocks it for all the descendants of the ancient clans, but some of them want it only for themselves and are willing to kill to keep it.
