With Syracuse set to host Georgetown at the Carrier Dome this weekend, who better to have on the Inside Syracuse Basketball Podcast than Rich Chvotkin? Chvotkin is the only radio play-by-play announcer in the history of Georgetown basketball. He started broadcasting Georgetown games in 1974 and has continued on the air ever since. On Saturday, he will call a Georgetown versus Syracuse game for the 81st time. Chvotkin joins Syracuse.com reporter Mike Waters to talk about his favorite memories of the Syracuse-Georgetown rivalry, his favorite Syracuse player and his relationship with the late John Thompson.
