Welcome to the Inside Heater podcast! We are two baseball fans by the names of Sutton McIntyre and Elijah Gavarrete embarking on the journey of bringing you up to speed on baseball news, history, takes and series recaps. Our goal is to stay family-friendly (as much as possible) to connect generations and grow the game that we both love. We want our listeners to be able to listen to a podcast where parents can just throw it on in the car and hope that their love of the game will rub off on their children as well. On this episode, we discuss MLB announcing to the league that they will be monitoring teams and pitchers for using banned substances on their baseballs and how it will impact their pitching going forward. We discuss the injured Blue Jays and how it impacts their place in the AL East. We talk about the contract extensions for Salvador Perez and Lance McCullers Jr. To finish off, this week was the 20 year anniversary of when Randy Johnson threw a pitch right into the path of a poor bird that was flying by and exploded. Also we are ONE week away from OPENING DAY. Whether it is good morning, good afternoon, or goodnight when you are listening, thank you for tuning in.
