Matthew Smith is known as the definition of community involvement and one of Michigan’s youngest elected officials. Right after walking across the stage graduating Davison High School, he ran for the his local School Board and won. Since then, Matthew has been reaching his higher goals of being elected to numerous other political and community positions such as the ELGA Credit Union Board of Directors (a billion dollar corporation), the Chairman of his county’s political party, the President of the Neighborhood Watch Authority, and much more.
Matthew shares his story and how he has turned his passion into inspiration for hundreds of others to do the same…and with his guidance! Most recently, he inspired his own Mother to run for the local college board (a seat even higher than his) and she got the most votes in history. In this podcast, Matthew shares both his personal life and governmental experiences while directly relating them to the mission and goals of Gas Money.
