I had the pleasure of interviewing Yuriy Smolin, PhD this week, who is an old Drexel colleague. Yuriy and I were in different departments but ended up collaborating and writing a paper together. He ended up in industry after we graduated and has some great advice on navigating those types of jobs. He also notes that the skills he found most helpful in his first job were problem solving and troubleshooting, which he gained while pursuing his PhD. I hope you enjoy!
