What began as a gold rush in 2019 is getting down to the basics as we continue to learn about applications for hemp and the varieties that fill the need. This research is a fraction of the work that we need to complete to build a viable industry.  The Midwestern Hemp Database is a collaboration between land-grant institutions and private laboratories in the Midwest. This project aims to provide regional insight into agronomic performance and cannabinoid development of industrial hemp varieties. Global Fiber Processing is processing hemp fiber in Colorado. Melissa Petterson was in Michigan last week for the Essen Atlas hemp field day.
