Last week, we started to crack the code on the tomb of Tutankhamun and the curse of the Pharaohs. And just a little reminder, this curse supposedly is what took down the 5th Earl of Carnarvon, the aristocrat who bankrolled its excavation.
Years of sifting through sand and dodging the scorching desert sun paid off in a big way in 1922. Howard Carter (funded by Lord C.) unearthed the nearly untouched tomb of Tutankhamun!
Then, of course, things got weird– if they hadn’t we wouldn’t be discussing them after all. A few months after opening Tut's tomb, Lord Carnarvon met an untimely demise. Whispers of a vengeful pharaoh's curse began to spread worldwide. Was it a tragic coincidence or something more sinister?
Lord Carnarvon's story is a tale of ambition, ancient secrets, and maybe, just maybe, a mummy with a grudge. So, let’s continue our dig on today’s episode of idiopathic.
