Between Mars and the gas giants are a bunch of small-ish rocks floating in space we call the asteroid belt. But what exactly is the asteroid belt and does it look like it does in Star Wars? More importantly, do we need to worry about an asteroid destroying all life on Earth? It&#39;s never too late to learn about the world around you.
