In this episode of the Human Potential Podcast our host, Oliver Freer is in conversation with international creative director, David Nobay. They talk about various subjects from immersive technology, the importance of Rites of Passage and how failure is such a critical part of the creative process.

David has over 30 years’ experience in the global advertising industry, as a Creative Director in various locations around the globe including London, Hong Kong, San Francisco, New York, Melbourne and Sydney.

He worked as Creative Director at Saatchi’s Sydney which was acclaimed “Agency of the Decade” by Campaign Brief Magazine. He has written a first stage-play “Moving Parts”, staged by NIDA and starring Colin Friels and his poetry was the inspiration for the ABC project “ArtBreaks” in 2017.

In 2017 David Nobay was included by Ad News in their 20 Most Influential Creative Thinkers.

David has recently co-founded “ImperfectCircle”: a creative company focused on immersive technology with offices in Sydney, Shanghai and LA.

David is also currently developing a TV series about Dr Arne Rubinstein and his work in Australia with The Rites of Passage Institute with Icon Films (Mel Gibson’s production company)

David is married, with three children aged between 7 and 25 years.  

When he is not travelling around the world he now lives between Paddington and Kangaroo Valley.
