In this episode of the Human Potential Podcast, our Host Oliver Freer has a conversation with Al Stewart and discusses the reality that is the male mid-life crisis. The two cover topics including the inevitability of “Groundhog Day” and the issues that result in alcohol abuse, extra-marital affairs and pornography addiction.
Al Stewart provides a solution with his simple “5-F formula”.
Al Stewart has been an Anglican Minister for around 30 years. For much of that time he has been a pastor, but also worked with not-for-profits as well as being the minister for the Sydney Roosters Rugby League Team. Al has spoken at men's events and conventions around the country and internationally, and he has been involved in the lives of hundreds of men, working through the bigger questions. Al has been married for 38 years to Kathy. He has 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Al keeps himself fit with long distance running and gym work.
Al Stewart is the author of the book titled “Men” Firing through all of life.
The book is essentially about the male mid-life crisis; and what to do to deal with it.
The book is for men asking questions. What is life all about? How did I get here? What do I do with the rest of my life? It is essentially a book for men who want to make a positive change.
One of the main themes on the Human Potential Podcast is to contribute to the improvement of male mental health and we recommend Al’s book to our audience.
