Based on an article released earlier this year on parentingmode.com, almost 27% of American family groups are single parent families. As of 2021, there are over 11 million single-parent families in the U.S. and of those families, 80% are single mothers. That represents 15.6 million children who live in single-mother households in the U.S. alone.
