QUICK ELECTION RECAP

In Kiel, 27% of people voted for the Green Party (Bündnis 90/ Die Grüne). Second and third strongest were the christian-democratic party (CDU, 23%) and the social-democratic party (SPD; 22%). That makes Kiel the only city in Schleswig-Holstein with a green government. In almost all other municipalities the CDU was the party with the most votes.
