In October 2020, burn survivor Charlene Chew, had a pot of hot oil “exploded” in her face. She suffered third-degree burns and had to go through multiple surgeries and skin grafts. That incident led to a long recovery journey, part of which she shared on social media to inspire others to feel comfortable in their own skin.
