Our interview excerpts today derive from a female Hoodoo Doctor from Savannah Georgia, she does not provide us with her name but refers to herself as a “Woman of Substance.” Her interview is extraordinary and provides us with elements of “philosophy and theology”, ingredients often omitted in modern-day Hoodoo. Hyatt’s demeanor is delightful as he interviews “The Woman of Substance” and he himself describes her as truly gifted and possessing talents. He also makes reference to the complex information obtained from her simplicity in delivering information.
On the next episode of Hoodoo Voices, Seer and I will share and dissect the full interview, however today we want to focus on an important element: “The 5 Talents.” The Lady of Substance remarks that she possesses ALL of the 5 talents and gives in detail what each talent is.
