This week we are diving back into true crime with Adam Worth: the Napoleon of Crime! He started off as a petty thief but quickly rose to form his own criminal gangs in New York, most notably for bank heists. Eventually he fled to England and Paris, where he was followed by the Pinkertons. He would spent 25 years as the head of several international criminal gangs. His most notable crime was stealing the highly-prized Gainsborough painting of Duchess Georgiana. Though it's not known by many, his exploits would become the basis for Professor Moriarty, nemesis to Sherlock Holmes! Join us as we track his crimes, his life and his downfall.
