Season 3, Episode 13: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum DisorderFASD is a neurodevelopment condition with lifelong challenges. Whether that be emotional, cognitive and behavioural. It is an alcohol related birth disability caused by the exposure of alcohol in the womb. FASD is a lifelong, brain-based physical disability’s the result of prenatal alcohol exposure. No amount of alcohol is safe during pregnancy. FASD is the most misdiagnosed, undiagnosed and under-diagnosed of all developmental disabilities. Natalie Vecchione shares her testimony and educates us on the impact of FASD on children and the importance of early diagnoses. She tells her beautiful story on her marriage and how God enabled them to adopt and to grow their family.
