You will get your own card that will be attached to that person’s specific credit account, but it will have your name on the card.  Who should you become the authorized user for: - Become an Authorized user for someone who has  a) a long credit age b) never misses payments c) never has utilization above 1%, d) they have $10k+ in total credit lines  This part can either help or hurt you the worst.  Make sure you’re doing this with someone you trust and know they are going to continue to have a great credit score.
