Welcome to Hidden Crisis, a podcast miniseries that addresses the issues and solutions to chronic absenteeism in K-12 schools.

In this second episode, we frame the solutions and recommendations we see are the most viable for schools to implement to combat chronic absenteeism. Solutions include implementing growth mindset pedagogy, parent involvement and phone banking, reformed disciplinary systems, and advisory groups. These are not meant to be a panacea. Instead, they are first-step recommendations to the long fight against this hidden crisis.
