Yes, I'm changing the way I press seams! Since I began quilting in 2005, I've pressed seams open, mostly because it reduced bulk, made my blocks more accurate, and tended to be what I did when sewing garments.But now when I plan to longarm quilt my quilt top, AND I plan to stitch right in the ditch, I'm pressing seams to one side. The only reason I'm changing this technique after 16 years of quilting is because I noticed that combination - longarm quilting and ditching - to be a problem for my pressed-open seams.
