Nicknamed "Firebelle Lil" because of her love for all things firefighter, Lillie Hitchcock Coit was eccentric... she smoked cigars, wore trousers, and was an avid gambler.

She also LOVED San Francisco... so much that her estate was left to the city that she loved. Doesn't it make sense that the Women's Pro Baseball League would name their San Francisco team after this amazing women??
