Dain Sundstrom and David Phillips are the co-creators of Presto and technical founders at Starburst where they are Chief Technology Officers. They created Presto in 2012 while at Facebook in order to fill the need for a highly performant, distributed, open source SQL query engine. Dain and David share advice for developers looking to jump into the open source space and the beginnings of Presto.
