Haroon Baqai has been teaching Quran and Tajweed, and has been a speaker for many years. He has an Ijazah in the mode of Hafs an Asim, which he received in Saudi Arabia after studying under Sh. Muhammad Ali Haqqan. He also studied at the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Virigina – a branch of Al-Imam University of Riyadh.

Haroon Baqai currently serves as the Principal of Dar-us-Salaam’s Al-Huda School in College Park, Maryland (USA), and the Director of Dar-us-Salaam’s full-time Hifzh (Qur’an memorization) School. He has produced a 9-CD set called “Ahlul Qur’an Gear”, a guide to memorizing short Surahs, and has authored a book titled “Let’s Beautify Our Recitation: A Complete Handbook of Tajweed.”
