A Hadith mentions that the Prophet (PBUH) said that Allah has 99 names. Whoever memorizes and embraces (ihsan) these qualities will enter heaven” (Bukhari)

  • There are names that provide us with love and respect for Allah like The forgive Al-Ghafoor, Al-Afu the ever pardoning, Ar-Raaof the most compassionate, Al-Lateef the most kind
  • Then there are names showing Allah’s greatness like MaliK, THE owner, Al-Qahhar, the all dominant , Al-Qader the powerful, Al-Qawi the strong
  • Then we have names that make us patient and thankful for Allah. Like Al-Muhsin the doer of good, Al-Muti the giver, Al-Hadi, the guide, An-Nur the light, Ash-Shafi, the curer
  • Then we have names that enable us to put all our trust in Allah like Al-Hafith the protector, al wali the protective friend, Al-Kafi the all-sufficient, Al-Qareeb the near.
  • Lastly we have names that lead us to fear Allah and become more aware of him like Ash-Shaeed, the witness, As-Samee3, Al-Baseer, the all hearing all seeing, Ar-Raqeeb the ever watching.
