In the seventies and the eighties, Owensby devoted his time to various credits, such as "Seabo" with David Allan Coe (1977), "Dark Sunday" (1978) and "A Day of Judgment" (1980). He also worked on "Lady Grey" (1980) and "Living Legend" (1980). Owensby more recently acted in "The Rutherford County Line" (1985).
