What dish would you want to be remembered by?

Hosts Jimmy Mac and Lindsay Lawler welcome viral sensation Rosie Grant, archivist, folklorist, and creator of @GhostlyArchive, to Road Gang Radio to talk about her fascinating new cookbook, To Die For (Harvest, Oct 7, 2025).

This one-of-a-kind collection features 40 real recipes found on gravestones across the United States — from spritz cookies to guava cobbler — each paired with heartfelt family stories, archival treasures, and beautiful photography. With two recipes originating from right here in Louisiana, Rosie’s work connects the universal love of food to legacy, memory, and even the afterlife.

Rosie shares how she stumbled upon her first gravestone recipe, how these culinary memorials evolved into a viral movement, and what the project has taught her about grief, remembrance, and joy. It’s an unexpectedly uplifting conversation about how the meals we share — and the recipes we leave behind — tell the story of who we are.
