After moving to LA, he joined the band Spirit where he served as the bassist and lead vocalist from 1971-1973. He later became an entertainment lawyer, representing musicians such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Johnny Nash. During the episode, Jackson and Al talk about his new album, Al's experiences backing up artists like Chuck Berry and Keith Moon, and how he's juggled music and law.
