Continuing our theme on the teaching ministry of Jesus, this series of Daily Devotionals moves on from Jesus’ parables to an important topic of teaching: prayer. Jesus did not only use parables to teach, but he also used his own example to teach his disciples— particularly when it came to the importance and the manner of prayer. On one occasion, Jesus’ example of prayer elicited the disciples request to be taught how to pray— leading to our Lord gifting us the prayer that bears his name.
