The book of Psalms is a collection of prayers and songs that are, above all, formational. The Psalms teach us how to pray, how to interact with the living God: they form us, they mature us and they stretch us in our knowing and loving of God. Psalm 22 is David's cry for help that was only truly inhabited by Jesus on the cross.
