On this episode, Brad sits down with rising cutting horse trainer Colt Moore. At just 25, Colt has already established himself as a consistent Open and Intermediate Open finalist, earning major titles and gaining momentum in some of the sport’s toughest pens.
Now based in Blue Ridge, Texas, Colt operates Colt Moore Performance Horses, training horses and working with Non-Pro, Amateur, and Open riders. He got his start learning under top trainers like Adan Banuelos and Russ Westfall, while also being shaped by his father and brother—both respected NCHA professionals.
In this conversation, Colt reflects on his journey from the NYCHA to the Open level, the team behind his program—including the support of his wife—and the role his faith in God plays in keeping him grounded, along with the work it takes to compete at the highest level of the sport.
