Cassie Angu is a community doula and Family Planning Health Worker dedicated to eradicating the health disparities Black and minority women/birthers face. She started her academic career at the University of Florida, majoring in Telecommunications, focusing her studies on Media and Society. After graduating, she studied at the University of Southern California, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Global Medicine. Since obtaining her master's degree, she has worked in community health in South Central Los Angeles and Trenton, NJ. She balances her case management work with her community doula business and has aspirations to become a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife to further advocate for those who need it most.
