If you had walked with Jesus on earth throughout his earthly ministry, if you had gone with him into Gethsemane, if you had been selected to come closer to him while he prays in agony, if you had heard the unspeakable tones with which he pleaded with his father in bloody agony, would you have been able to stay awake as he asked you to-- Would it have changed your life-- If even Jesus' disciples fell asleep, how much more do you and I need the empowering grace of God to honour him with our lives.
