How do we fix the formula 1 sprint format?
Now, we on the Going Off Track podcast have made clear how much we don’t love the sprints (see: our 2023 Qatar Grand Prix recap), but we will admit that the 2024 format IS an improvement from what we had to deal with last season.
As of recording, we’ve only had two sprint weekends so far, so there’s every chance that China and Miami were flukes, but we do admit that we hate it slightly less.
But is the 2024 format better than the 2021 format?
Yes in some ways and no in a lot of others.
