What does it mean to truly shine for God?
In this episode of God Is Not a Theory, Ken Fish is joined by physicist-turned-minister Putty Putman—along with Grant Pemberton and Kady Taylor—for a thoughtful conversation ahead of Orbis Ministries' Luminosity Conference.
Together, they explore the biblical meaning of luminosity—what it means to reflect God's light in the world—and why consecration and holiness are essential for every believer. They discuss how science and faith complement one another, the dangers of building morality around self, and why this is a season to embrace spiritual disciplines with renewed intentionality. Whether you're preparing to attend Luminosity or simply longing to grow deeper in your walk with Christ, this conversation offers practical wisdom and fresh encouragement.
In this episode:• What "luminosity" means—and why Jesus called us the light of the world• Why science and faith flow from the same source• Consecration as an act of the will; holiness as a lifestyle• The Old Testament picture of unclean, clean, and holy• Why "toddler morality" falls short of biblical holiness• Letting God—not self—define the center of our moral universe• The present grace for spiritual disciplines and an ordered life• Recognizing God's kairos moments and responding with faith
