Legendary Emmy Award Actress Lynn Whitfield talks Greenleaf finale, God showing up on set, and the power of prayer plus craft.

Miss Lynn Whitfield. Hi.

Hello, beautiful. How are you? Beautiful.

I'm doing Wow. I'm RaVal Davis. I'm so excited to have you on the God Is my agent podcast today.

Thank you. Thank you so so much. That's why had to have you on here obviously, in all your lady Mae fabulousness, and godliness. And you know, we had to have the first lady on God is my Agent. Before we even start off the show, I want to give a little bit of an introduction. Although you need no introduction, everybody in these comments is already shouting out their favorite characters that you play throughout their lives. I've watched you as Miss Josephine Baker and stomping at the savoy was one of my favorite movies that I watched over and over. As a child growing up, I'm an actress and you have inspired me so much so I just want to say thank you. There are a lot of actresses on here. We just want to thank you for all that you have given us.

My goodness. I'm blessed to be actresses though, Ah, it's so good. It's so good. It's such a nice thing.

It's such an honorable profession to be a storyteller. And whatever, we have the opportunity to express ourselves that way. And I could see that you really love it. I'm looking in your eyes. And I can see that you really, really love it.

I do. And I can see that obviously you do, you are a master, you're a master. Before I got on this call with you, I was talking to my dad, and my dad doesn't know remember anybody. But Miss Josephine Baker. They made me watch over and over and over and over again as a child. So he thought he was so excited and he told me congratulations. And he said, Well, he started to give me advice and correct me on my speech. I said, Okay, I gotta let you go now. Oh, He was so excited and he wanted me to say tell you he said hello, my dad, Robert Davis.
