Manchester City just added one of the best players of the new generation to their squad. Along with Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland is already tipped to take over the thrones of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the coming years.  So, whatever club you support, you just have to admit that Manchester City are really lucky to call this lad their own. And the irony of it is that they may have to thank a legend from across town for the quality they are getting in Erling Haaland.  At this point, it is no longer news when a new generation player names Cristiano Ronaldo as his idol. But it seems like the Man United superstar has had more influence on Haaland’s career than the average rookie.  First of all, Erling Haaland himself once said in an interview that CR7 has always been his role model and he pretty much owes his career to him.
