Once upon a time, 'fat' wasn't a word to be feared, and the word 'filler' only applied to time. In that time, women's bodies were portrayed in paintings, sculptures and drawings with rounded bellies, butts and thighs, along with a pair of not-so-perfectly perky boobs. But then in that time, dieting wasn't a multi-billion dollar industry.
Fast forward to today, and marketing for all the ways women may not be 'perfect' has gone haywire, and the three of us, for one, are over it.
Join us for another trip down critical thinking lane as we get together for another bottle of wine and a chat about the body image issues we've each struggled with and the mental health struggles associated with them, social media feed curation, and how we can all support each other to (try) and cultivate a better relationship with ourselves.

'To be or not to be' may have been the question in Shakespeare's day, but now? It's all about babies, baby. Have you ever stopped to think about the huge number of choices we have to make when it comes to reproduction?
To have a baby, to choose not to; to give birth 'naturally', or by caesarean; pain medication or no; to head back to work or stay home with the kids... the decisions seem endless.
Join us as we explore this massive, gargantuan topic and talk all things babies, birth, decisions and doing pregnancy tests for a laugh.

For some years in recent history, the institution of marriage was thought to be in terminal decline. But somehow, it refuses to go away - in fact it's getting more and more fashionable. Now, with same-sex marriage officially on the books in Australia and around the world, it seems like it's well past time we cast a critical eye over the institution itself. Join us as we drink a bottle or two of Hog in the Woods and mull over the history of marriage, name changes, proposals and why we just can't seem to shake that desire to see someone down on one knee.

Did you know that at any one time, a quarter of people who get periods (who are of reproductive age) are menstruating? And yet, periods are a topic that lots of people would rather not have a frank chat about. With this self (and society)-imposed silence, it's no wonder there are a lot of myths surrounding this monthly process.
All these myths do is to further shut down period discussions - which leads to silence, shame, and misconception, and can even lead to poor reproductive health outcomes for women and men alike.
With all that in mind, take a deep breath, grab your wine, and settle in for a really open and honest, but still a little fun, whine with us. Because we've had enough of the silence and stigma, period.
