Hussein Al-Baiaty joins the show to talk about his unique life journey.
Born and raised in Iraq, he was 5 years old when the first Persian Gulf War started and his family fled to Saudi Arabia and lived in a refugee camp until he was 9 years old when they were flown out to Portland Oregon. A freshman when 9/11 happened, Hussein constantly has has had to battle racism and the misunderstanding of his culture. Today he is a best selling author of Art of Resilience: The Refugee State of Mind and an entrepreneur and speaker across the country.
