Various organizations across Canada are advocating for the decriminalization of sex work. This includes the Canadian Association of Social Workers, who’s code of ethics seeks to balance the protection of individuals and the principle of doing no harm with autonomy and self-determination. The advocacy only applies to the selling of sex between two consenting adults. Today’s guests, Elizabeth Weisz and Katherine Van Meyl, are supporters of the decriminalization of sex work. Elizabeth Weisz is a companion and sex worker who has been in the industry for almost seven years. Katherine Van Meyl is a therapist who adopts a psychodynamic perspective in the treatment of couples, families, and individuals.
