Although this summer blockbuster  season has been a bust, it did give us one truly great addition to a  beloved animation franchise, and a royal kaiju rumble. Over in TV land,  we review a delightfully twee fantasy-comedy, the return of a  techno-phobic anthology, a kawaii-metalcore anime, a dense German  time-travel series, and the last hurrah for MCU's Netflix universe. In addition we also discuss Ted Chiang's brilliant sci-fi short story  collection entitled Exhalation, and the closure of DC's Vertigo imprint.
