-23 Paul teaches us the importance of prayer in the Christian life. F. B. Meyer once said, “The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.” Why pray? Why pray in prison? Why pray for others when you aren’t doing so well? Why pray for others when it would be tempting to only pray for yourself?

This Father’s Day weekend, we continue our sermon series through the letter of Ephesians by looking at one of Paul’s two prayers. He is in prison in Rome and hasn’t been seen by the Ephesians for at least six years. Yet, in Ephesians
After a powerful introduction where Paul listed nearly all the blessings found in Christ, Paul stops and prays. He prays that the Ephesians would receive revelation from God to know all they have in Christ. It’s one thing to receive a gift; it’s another to appreciate it!
