Hello and welcome to a very different, but special episode of Garrick Chats With…

As you might be aware, April is Autism Awareness Month. And for Episode 8, we decided to shake things up a bit. So here it is: Garrick Chats With… Nina, Josef and Aidan!

Usually, our students chat with a variation of guests each week to learn about their lives, their career and the industry that they’re in. But this time, we thought we’d do things a little differently to raise awareness (or as our guest Nina called it: Acceptance) of Autism.

So we’ve flipped our format around. Our theatre teachers, Faye and Rach became the hosts and spoke with three of our Garrick students. And what wonderful guests they were! As well as being huge parts of our theatre on an individual basis, Nina, Josef and Aidan all have Autism, and kindly agreed to talk and share with us about being Autistic and their lives so far. We believe that it was really important to do this episode, to educate and inform our listeners about Autism. And something which made this interview even more valuable, was that some parents came along too.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our guests for being so open and honest throughout this fantastic episode. You are all an absolute credit to our theatre and to yourselves. We really hope that you enjoyed being our guests for this week.
