A Nevada state trooper is ordered to provide late-night highway escort for a Department of Energy convoy carrying massive, unmarked steel pressure tanks. When a tire blowout sends the lead truck into a ravine, one of the tanks breaches, releasing a towering, heavily armored nonhuman captive that immediately begins hunting the surviving guards.
