Yep - THAT subject. Sex. So personal. So secretive. Or, worse yet, shunned or, these days capitalized with an openness that is being portrayed as ideal. But IS it? How can we be truly open and free about sex if we attach so much shame to it. As we move out of a deadly flu virus, I would purport that the virus of sexual shame can also be as deadly - to our self-esteem, to our connections and to our next generation. If we don't actively participate in healing our sexual shameful wounds, it will be difficult to allow our children to openly express themselves in whatever is most open, creative and healthy for them. We need healing around sex. We need love, forgivenes and compassion. We need it NOW.
