Hi , I’m Suzanne Maggio, a social worker, educator and writer, and this is From Sparks to Light. 

In 2019 I walked Spain’s famous pilgrimage, El Camino de Santiago. One night, in the small town of Carrion de los Condes, I went to a pilgrim Mass.  At the end, I was given a small paper star, a reminder to be the light for someone. As I continued along those 500 miles, that simple gift came to mean a lot to me. 

In these challenging times, I believe we have an obligation to show up for one another.  To give back to our communities. To bring our light into the world. From Sparks to Light shares the stories of people who choose to follow their spark and light the darkness. Each week we’ll hear the stories of people who are giving back in different ways. Learn what inspires them and what they learned along the way.  I hope their stories inspire you to find your spark and encourage you to shine your own precious light in the world.
