In this episode, I am joined by Anastasia, Hanna and Andreas who form the committee of the LGBTQ+ Cypriot Diaspora (@lgbtq_cypriot_diaspora), a group that was created a few years ago to celebrate and give a voice to LGBTQ+ Cypriots in the UK. We discuss the challenges that can come with understanding your Cypriot roots when balancing these intersecting identities, and how you can always find safety in your community. Can Cypriot and queer identity exist in harmony? This group is proving just that, by showing that visibility and representation is the best way to break down barriers and challenge stereotypes.
