Today's Part 2 of 2 B.A. Crisp talks about her #childhood experience with sexual #abuse, her time spent involved with human #trafficking and strip club #legislation in the US, and #brothels #abroad. 

She is a best-selling author and CEO of Crisp Concepts, Inc. a Washington, D.C. based consulting company. Ms. Crisp’s portfolio includes advising with the Dept. of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate on federal anti-human trafficking foundational efforts and outreach with law enforcement on anti-human trafficking initiatives.
Crisp was a 2015 Homeland Security Director’s Service Award Nominee, meeting the mandates of the White House and Congress, in the battle against human trafficking.
Notably, Crisp is the author of Red Bird, an Amazon #1 bestseller, a second novel, X Point, and her third book, Emergent, available March 2023.
Crisp has acted as an advisor for private contractors in national security providing research, advice, and analysis. Previously, she served as a vetted volunteer for the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, assigned to its Criminal Bureau of Investigations anti-human trafficking team.
Additionally, She was a Psychiatric Assessment Specialist at a major metropolitan hospital for the Chair of Psychiatry, helping test and implement mental health based diagnostic software.
She earned her B.A. in psychology from Ursuline College, graduating Summa cum Laude, and her M.S. from George Washington University’ Graduate School of Political Management, receiving the valedictorian distinction.
She attended Exeter College, University of Oxford, U.K. and the London School of Journalism. During her childhood, she was a ward of the court and foster child and is a human trafficking survivor (although she prefers the term ‘thriver’).
