What’s up everybody?! A lot of people have been reaching out asking if the podcast was over. I would like to say no, but honestly, both John and I have a lot going on right now. I don’t want to speak for John, but as for me, the factory where I work announced they’ll be closing the plant sometime within the next year or two. That means while I have a job now, I won’t for much longer so I’m actively enrolling in trade school trying to get some certifications that look good on a resume. There’s a chance I could get offered a position in Fort Wayne IN but even if I did, my wife and kids don’t want to move. Honestly, I don’t either as that’s too far for me outside of the southeast and it’s not like I can count on that. Plus, I’m currently an active serving deacon at my church and while that doesn’t typically take up a lot of time, it’s one more thing along with working full time, class, and being a dad. I went ahead paused the Patreon last night because I’m not sure when or if we’ll be back. Maybe we’ll just take a break and come back. Maybe if we come back we'll try to do a YouTube show. Maybe instead, I’ll try and help my teenage son launch a YouTube gaming channel. Maybe we’ll both just never find our way back. There is just so much uncertainty right now and I don’t really know how the next couple of years are going to play out. The only thing I know for certain is it will be much different from the way things are now.
We do have at least one episode in raw audio on a hard drive that at some point I want to finish up and release. Also, I’d like to get with John and at least do one more and explain what’s going on with us. I really do miss the long conversations with John but I don’t miss all the other stuff that goes along with editing and producing a podcast. You can often feel like you’re just talking into a black hole and nobody cares, so it’s actually reassuring when people reach out. It feels good to give an update to someone who’s interested and I hope things are going well for you in your tiny corner of the world!
